[edit]I'm a little concerned about this category. There are not really that many authors under Category:American writers yet, I don't think it needs to be broken up into subcategories. If you subdivide a group too much, and remove the authors from the group, if someone is browsing through, the will not see things in subgroups. There is currently not a good search facility to view the entire subtree, and worse, there is not a category listing all authors. The current subdivisions may already make it difficult to find authors. I think it is too soon to break this one up, and unless the parent category becomes too large, it may never be necessary. --ssd 04:34, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Also, some authors in Category:Children's writers are American, but are not listed here. Jonathunder 02:47, 2004 Nov 23 (UTC)

[edit]"Julie Andrews Edwards" is in italics for some reason and I have no idea how to fix it. anonymous 11:32, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
- I believe it's because Julie Andrews Edwards is only a redirect page that leads to Julie Andrews. It looks like the category may have been placed on the redirect page as a test or something, but as her real article is in Category:English children's writers, I'll remove this category from from the redirect.
